A regular breakfast costs about two dollars but breakfast with a senator will cost you about $1000.
Amy Becker has more from the state Capitol.
Republican Senate Campaign Committee leaders are inviting lobbyists to talk about their proposals in a series of round table meetings, but talk is not cheap. These breakfasts have an asking price starting at $1000 for one hour ranging up to $5000 for fourteen one hour breakfasts. Roy Temple, Democratic Political Operator is the man who disclosed the breakfast invitations.
I think it's one of the great ironies of this is that the very first committee chair who's hosting one of these round tables charging people $1000 for breakfast, is chair of the senate ethics committee.

Temple charges that the breakfasts will blur the line of the senates public interest with that of special interest. He says that it is the responsibility of the public to ask the senate about the ethics of these meetings.
From Jefferson City, I'm Amy Becker.
